Welcome to Sarwari Rabta. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using our app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1) Who we are
App name: Sarwari Rabta
Developer: Sarwari Rabta
Contact: [email protected]
Sarwari Rabta is a mobile application that provides Islamic religious content and tools, including prayer (Namaz) tracking, Zikr (dhikr) counting, educational content (Kalimas, names of Allah, names of the Prophet, ablution, fasting), and related features.
2) Data we collect
We collect the following data when you use the app:
- Account data (when you register):
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Password (stored in encrypted form; we never see your plain password)
- Profile data (when you sign up):
- Date of birth
- Country and city
- Phone number
- Address (you may type it, or optionally use your device location to fill it once)
- Reference (e.g. reference person name)
- Bait (optional preference)
- Profile photo and name (if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google to create your account)
- Messages and chat content (if you use the in-app guidance chat):
- The text messages you send to, and receive from, the Murshid / administrator
- Your display name and profile photo, shown to the administrator alongside your messages
- Message timestamps and read status
The chat is text only — we do not support or collect voice/video calls, photos, or other media in chat.
- Notification (push) token: When you allow notifications, we receive a device messaging token (from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver prayer reminders, chat replies, and announcements to your device. This token identifies the device installation, not you personally.
- Religious practice data (when you use the app while logged in):
- Namaz (prayer) tracking: which prayers you have recorded as completed per day (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, Jumu’ah)
- Zikr data: counts for Kalma Tayyaba, Astaghfar, Darood Ibrahimi, Surah Ikhlas, and any custom zikr you log
- Location data: We need your location (latitude and longitude) to show Namaz (prayer) times for your area. We receive and store this when you use the app so we can calculate and display accurate prayer times. We do not continuously track your location in the background.
- Technical and usage data: When you use the app, we may receive information such as your device type, operating system version, app version, and general usage (e.g. to improve stability and fix crashes). We do not sell this data.
We do not collect your contacts, SMS, or call logs. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3) How we use data
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To provide app features: prayer tracking, zikr counts, educational content (Kalimas, names of Allah and Prophet, ablution, fasting), and any content we serve (e.g. flashes, countries/cities).
- To show Namaz (prayer) times based on your location and to personalize your experience (e.g. language/preferences).
- To send you notifications you have consented to: prayer reminders, replies to your messages in the guidance chat, and important announcements. We also keep aggregate counts of how many notifications were delivered and opened to measure and improve our communications.
- To operate the in-app guidance chat so you can communicate with the Murshid / administrator.
- To improve the app: stability, performance, and fixing errors.
- To comply with applicable laws and to protect our rights and users’ safety.
5) Storage & security
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS (encryption in transit).
- Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing; we do not store or see your plain password.
- Where supported, we use encryption at rest for sensitive data.
- Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel for legitimate purposes only.
6) Data retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary to provide the service, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data as described in the “Account deletion” section below.
7) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data (e.g. via profile settings in the app).
- Delete your data, including by deleting your account (see below).
- Export your data where we support it.
- Withdraw consent for optional features where applicable.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
8) Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time. This is required by app store policies (e.g. Google Play) so that users can remove their data.
- In the app: use the “Delete account” (or similar) option in settings or account section. This sends a request to our servers to permanently delete your account and associated data (profile, prayer records, zikr data, location, etc.).
- Alternatively, you can request account deletion by contacting us at [email protected].
After deletion, we do not retain your personal data for longer than required by law. Deletion is irreversible.
9) Children
Sarwari Rabta is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to data processing). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such data.
10) International transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it is protected in line with applicable law (e.g. standard contractual clauses or other approved mechanisms).
11) Third‑party services
We may use third‑party services for:
- Hosting and infrastructure to run our app and API.
- Google Firebase (operated by Google LLC) for:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications to your device;
- Cloud Firestore — to store and sync your in-app chat messages in real time;
- Firebase Authentication — to securely connect your account to the chat service.
- Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) with us to create your account.
- Analytics or crash reporting (if we use them) to improve stability; we do not use these to track you for advertising.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers. We do not sell your data to third parties.
12) App permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
- Internet / Network: To load content, sync your prayer and zikr data, and communicate with our servers.
- Location: Required to show Namaz (prayer) times for your area, and (only if you tap “use my current location”) to fill in your address. We use your location only for these purposes; we do not track your location in the background.
- Notifications: To send prayer reminders, replies to your messages, and announcements. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- Alarms & reminders (exact alarms): So that prayer-time reminders and the adhan alert fire at the precise prayer time even when the device is idle.
- Run at startup: So your scheduled prayer reminders are restored after the device restarts.
- Storage (optional): To cache content for offline use and improve performance.
We do not request access to your contacts, SMS, or call logs.
13) Contact
For privacy-related questions, to request access or deletion of your data, or to report a concern:
Email: [email protected]
We will respond within a reasonable time.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may notify you in the app or by email where required by law. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
